(Pansay Tribe)

“Well, at least we’ll be able to sleep better now.” Daniel shrugged as everyone walked back into camp.

“Yeah. I feel a little better knowing that Violet’s gone.” Jerry nodded.

“Voting out Violet was something we felt could actually help us in the long run. Not only did she do NOTHING helpful, but we ran the risk of her attacking us.” Daniel said. “Now that she’s gone, maybe we can start winning challenges.”

Robyn seemed a little mad, and turned to Phil. “Phil, could you tell me why you taught her to write my name?” She asked.

“She am need to vote for SOMEONE.” Phil shrugged.

“But why ME?! What did I DO?!”

Phil scratched his head. “Well, everyone am think you not to be trusted.” He reasoned. “Me am think choice obvious.”

Robyn’s eye twitched as everyone else had a laugh. Sparky walked over to her. “Don’t feel bad about it, Robyn.” She said. “You weren’t in any real danger, anyway.”

“But…Why is everyone thinking that I’m evil? I haven’t even DONE anything!” Robyn insisted.

“It’s just a little running gag, Robyn. Don’t think about it too much.”

“Robyn needs to lighten up a little. I mean, it makes SENSE that her last name would be Banks considering where she comes from, but even if it isn’t, she needs to learn to have a laugh once in a while.” Sparky said. “Part of the reason we’re still making that joke is to get Robyn to laugh at it.”

“This can’t be happening. My entire gameplan completely unraveled in my face and I never even got the chance to DO anything!” Robyn said. “This…This isn’t fair! I’m supposed to be able to play everyone like idiots with a nice girl act!”

“So what do we do now that we voted out Violet?” Syndrelle asked.

“At the moment, try to win challenges.” Felipe said. “We’re down two people and we literally can’t afford to lose any more.”

“I know. I’d rather have us actually win a challenge.” Daniel nodded. “Hopefully we’ll do better without Violet slowing us down.”

“We certainly couldn’t do any WORSE.”

“At least with Violet gone, the others can get some good rest and have some extra energy for challenges. Like I said at council, it wouldn’t affect me because I don’t need sleep.” Syndrelle said. “Still, I hope we can pull off a win. Losing two challenges in a row is sure to hurt the morale of some of us…Myself included…”

(Cosmor Tribe; Day 7)

Danielle whistled a tune as she cast out another line on her fishing rod. She hadn’t caught much yet save for a few small fish, but she knew that a big fish was sure to come around sooner than later.

“Why is she still fishing?” Gord asked from off to the side. “I thought we already had enough fish to do us for a while.”

“It’s something she likes to do. I say we just let her do it.” Honey replied. “Keeps her occupied, anyway.”

“Danielle spends a lot of time fishing, and it seems that she does it for fun as well because we’ve seen her toss a lot of fish back.” Honey said. “Still, she’s feeding the tribe with her skills and that should keep a target off of her for now.”

“I’ve been curious about something, Gord.” Honey said. “You’re always wearing those shades, aren’t you?”

“Uh…Yeah?” Gord said uneasily.

“How come we’ve never seen you without them? You even wear them in your sleep.” Honey said. “You have some kind of eye condition or something?”

Honey reached for Gord’s shades, but the shorter player jumped away and grasped his shades to keep them on his face. “J-Just leave them! It’s nothing!” He said. “You…You don’t want to know!”

“What’s gotten into you?”

“Honey, just…For your own sake, DON’T touch my shades, okay?” Gord said.

Honey lifted an eyebrow. “Is that a threat?” She asked.

“No, of course not! It’s…It’s a WARNING.”

Honey paused, then sighed. “You’re a real weird one, Gord.” She said.

“I know it sounds weird, but I have to draw the line at the shades. It’s…Uh…It’s important that they stay on my face at all times.” Gord explained. “Let’s just say that it’s for everyone’s safety and leave it at that, okay?”

Danielle, oblivious to what Honey and Gord were talking about, cast another line. “Hmm…Not a lot today. A couple of horse mackerel and a few sea bass, but nothing really big.” She mused. “I wonder if there are any red snappers here. The others would like that…”

Danielle suddenly felt her line getting tugged down, catching something. Her eyes lit up underneath her mask. “Oh! I got something!” She said as she pulled the line.

Danielle line shot up instantly, launching what she had caught into the air. Danielle held up her hand and caught it, and her eyes snapped open when she saw what she was holding: a handheld idol made of wood with a couple of decorative stones on it. There was a hook-like piece at the top of it, which was what Danielle’s line had snagged.

“N-No way! The Hidden Immunity Idol?!” Danielle asked.

“Now that I think about it, we weren’t even told about any idols. Maybe the host expected us to start looking for it anyway, darlin’.” Danielle said before holding up her find. “But still, this is great! I’ve actually found the idol! This is going to be a huge help for us later on! I just hope I can hold onto it until then…”

(Pansay Tribe; Day 7)

"Where’d you guys get that extra lumber from?” Sparky asked as she watched Jerry and Phil carrying large logs over to the shelter.

“From the jungle. We used the machete.” Jerry said simply. “Felipe suggested a few extra seats around the shelter and some more firewood.”

“We am only people strong enough to lift wood.” Phil explained. “He tell us what to get.”

“How’re you taking the vote, by the way, Phil?” Sparky asked.

Phil gave a sigh. “Me am already missing her.” He admitted.

“Me am feeling sad since Violet go. She am friend and she am have so much in common with me.” Phil lamented. “Maybe after this over, she am still want to hang out…”

“Where’s everyone else? I know Phil and I are the strongest here, but we could use some help.” Jerry said. “Where’s Daniel?”

“Probably off with Zed somewhere. They’re usually together, anyway.” Sparky shrugged.

“Hmm…Wonder why.”

“I think it’s something to do with Felipe not liking Zed.”

“Daniel’s a weird case. We don’t see him pitching in as much as Phil and I do, but when he does, he’s shown to be pretty strong.” Jerry pointed out. “But if he doesn’t chip in, wouldn’t that make him an eventual target by the others? Just saying.”

Meanwhile, Daniel was off to the side of the camp, searching around a bush. Zed walked over from another direction, looking a little frustrated.

“I’m taking it that you haven’t found any idols, either?” Daniel asked.

“That would unfortunately be a negative.” Zed said.

“So…You DID find an idol?”

“What? No, no, no. I haven’t. The accursed thing must be around here somewhere, though.” Zed said.

“The host never said anything about any idols, though. How do we know there IS one?”

“There usually is. I would prefer to play it safe and search just in case.” Zed explained. “It’d make our chances far better against Felipe.”

“I still say that there’s nothing here and we’re on a wild goose chase.”

“Like I said, I much rather prefer to be on top of things.”

“I may have my ingrate cousin beat in terms of pure intelligence, but I regretfully admit that I contain none of his boundless luck.” Zed said. “I swear, if Homestar was out here on the island, he would be liable to stumble upon an idol within the first three days without even trying.”

“I’d be all for trying to find an idol if we were given a guarantee that there actually WAS one. People will get suspicious if they see Zed and I searching, and it’ll bring in some unwanted attention if there’s actually no idol.” Daniel said. “Felipe’s gang gives me the creeps and I’d still want to stay on their good side.”

(Cosmor Tribe)

“Since there’s no challenge today, we decided to put our downtime to god use and have a little fun. I mean, it’s not like there’s much to do now that the shelter done.” Franz explained. “The bunch of us decided to go for a little swim in the ocean, and I think we all welcomed it considering it’s been so hot out here these past few days.”

Franz relaxed on the shore, his lower half in the water. “I’m surprised it’s taken us a week to take advantage of the beach.” He said.

“Oui. It’s quite relaxing.” Louise agreed. “Not quite what I am used to back home, but out here, you take what you get.”

“Yeah. This can-”

That was all Franz got out before Honey splashed him, laughing. Manitoba, sitting near Franz, was also splashed and looked annoyed.

“Come on, Franz! Don’t just sit on the shore all day! Go for a swim!” Honey said.

“Watch where you’re splashing, kid.” Manitoba warned. “I’m sitting right next to him, you know.”

“Yeah, but you could use a little lightening up as well.”

“Water’s not my thing. Now quit it.”

“Seriously, what’s it going to take for that guy to lighten up? I always heard that Canadians were friendly people.” Honey lifted an eyebrow.

“In order for me to enjoy myself, I’d prefer to just sit back and keep away from people. I’m not enjoying my time if people are trying to drag me into doing things.” Manitoba folded his arms. “I didn’t need any interactions with stupid people back home, and I certainly don’t need any now.”

Tongoro stood on the shore, both sets of arms folded. As Franz waded out into the water a little deeper, the Shoken glanced down at Louise. “I fail to see any way this can be seen as productive, human.” He said. “We should be practicing for the challenge tomorrow.”

Louise sat back. “You need to, how you say, learn to let loose a little bit.” She responded. “We are using a little bit of downtime to unwind, oui?”

“You all wouldn’t last back home. Any free time is spent training and toning your body to perfection.” Tongoro narrowed his eyes.

“The others are right about you. You DO need to lighten up.” Louise smirked.

“I feel like this is just wasting time. I’m used to training and preparing for battle when not in a fight. It’s just how the Shokan work.” Tongoro folded his arms. “I can guarantee that if my race used free time to laze about in the sun, we’d have gone extinct millennia ago.”

“Oui, I find Tongoro a good ally and he’s a smart thinker, but he’s just…How you say, wrapped up in his own world.” Louise explained. “He could tend to overthink things and end up putting us in a tight spot, oui?”

(Pansay Tribe)

“Just a little over that way, guys.” Felipe directed Phil and Jerry, who were moving a huge log.

“Right here?” Jerry asked.

“That’s perfect.”

Jerry and Phil put the log down, forming another makeshift bench. “You sure this is really needed, Felipe?” He asked.

“It may be excessive, but what else are we going to use the machete for? We may as well make ourselves comfortable.” Felipe shrugged.

“To be frank, it’s getting a little boring around here. Our camp is mainly just a clearing, so we don’t have access to a lot of water, and there’re trees everywhere.” Felipe said. “Even if we had a view of the ocean, I’d be somewhat satisfied. At least then I’d have something to look at other than trees.”

“So what’s the plan, Felipe?” Syndrelle asked. “I mean, now that we’ve voted out Violet.”

“I think we need to shift attention to Zed and Daniel.” Felipe said. “They’re the only ones I have concerns about.”

“What about Robyn and Sparky?” Jerry asked.

“Robyn’s not a threat at all and Sparky, while useful in making fire, isn’t any bigger of a threat.”

“Felipe wants to target the two Outsiders because they’re the biggest threat against us. Like that name? That’s what I’m calling Zed and Daniel. The Outsiders.” Jerry chuckled. “Still, we’re going with it for now. I’m fine following Felipe’s orders either way, so I’m not going to be the one questioning him.”

“Who am main target?” Phil asked. “Me want to vote for right one.”

“We’ll focus on Zed first. I think he’s smarter.” Felipe folded his arms. “That makes him a bigger threat than Daniel at the moment.”

“Okay. Me am vote for Zed, then.” Phil nodded. “Probably easy to spell, too.”

“I think I’ve seen those two looking for an idol, though.” Syndrelle piped up. “What if they find one?”

Felipe appeared to be in thought. “Then I guess we just need to start looking for one ourselves.” He said.

“I was kinda worried about the idol since I saw people looking for one, but I actually have no idea where one could be hidden around here…” Syndrelle said. “The only advantage I have out here is the fact that I’m familiar with a forest and can find things hidden around a bunch of trees.”

“Okay. Felipe am say to look for idol, so me am look for one.” Phil said. “Me am start in water and go from there.”

(Cosmor Tribe)

“JOIN ME!!!” Kasha yelled as she chased Manitoba around the camp.

“No! Leave me alone!!” Manitoba yelled back.

“You ingrate!! Why are you still ignorant?! You’re dead out here without my guidance!”

“Why is it so hard to get allies?! No one here’s giving me the respect I deserve! So far, my only subordinate is Patchwork!” Kasha growled. “I’m obviously the most-qualified person to lead this tribe, so why is everyone against me?! This is completely unacceptable!”

Patchwork gave a smirk as he watched Kasha chasing Manitoba around. Gord and Qing Long stood near him, also watching.

“Tell me again why you’re aligned with her?” Qing Long asked.

“I’m not REALLY aligned.” Patchwork said. “To be honest, I just enjoy watching her meltdowns.”

“They sound entertaining. I actually wish I could see it…”

“I actually think it’s getting a little old at this point.” Gord scratched his head.

“I don’t get why we can’t just vote out Kasha and be done with it. It’s obvious that no one here wants to put up with her.” Qing Long explained. “Instead, it looks like our votes are getting tossed elsewhere and if I vote for Kasha, I’d just be in a minority. Ugh. That sucks…”

“Why the heck is it always Manitoba she’s chasing down?” Gord asked.

“I’m not complaining.” Qing Long shrugged. “Better him than me.”

“Just…Just listen for once in your life!!” Kasha yelled.

“There was a girl on this show I was on one time! The audience voted her out first!” Manitoba called back. “Everyone knows the mean characters are the first ones gone in object shows! Why can’t it be the same here?!”

“Stop speaking that jargon and listen to me!”

“What I wouldn’t give for some popcorn.” Patchwork said with a smirk.

“You’re a pretty sadistic guy.” Gord noted.

“I’m a crook. So sue me.”

“Man. I don’t even need to TRY to make people hate Kasha. This is great. So long as people hate her, I’ll be making attempts to keep her around.” Patchwork said. “Now for the big question: Which alliance do I side with when we go to council?”

“Something about that guy puts me off.” Gord pointed out sarcastically. “Oh, wait! It’s because his entire HEAD is split into four segments!”

(Pansay Tribe)

Syndrelle walked around amongst the trees, scanning for an idol, but was so far having no luck. “Ugh. This will take forever.” She said to herself. “If the idol’s around the trees, it could be anywhere…”

Daniel glanced at Syndrelle’s form from afar. Seeing Syndrelle’s tall, lanky form shrouded in trees made him shudder. “I’m already getting flashbacks of Slender…” He said. “Why did Felipe get her to search the trees?”

“Probably because she’s from Slender.” Robyn said flatly.

“She looks so much like her dad doing that…”

“Still, I assume that this means that Felipe is sending his alliance to scout out the idol.” Zed noted. “This is unfortunate. I was certain that we’d be able to get by without them noticing.”

“You two haven’t exactly been the most-subtle about it, either.” Robyn rolled her eyes.

“Zed and Daniel have been looking for an idol, and that prompted Felipe to send his mob to search as well…That’s actually not a bad name for their alliance: ‘The Mob’.” Robyn noted. “But whatever. If there IS an idol around here, I say let them fight for it. If they’re not going to fall for my acts and keep me around as a non-threat, then I don’t need it.”

“Felipe’s alliance holds all the cards at the moment, so Daniel and I need the idol more than anything right now. If anything, it will provide us with a temporary second wind.” Zed gave a shrug. “However, now that the others are searching as well, we need to find it quickly. We need it now more than ever.”

“I’m still curious as to why you insist on speaking with those big words of yours.” Robyn folded her arms.

“You get used to it.” Daniel sighed.

“I have a tendency to show that I have a good grasp on the English language, to be certain. Perhaps it’s a way for me to distance myself from the imbecilic cousin of mine that somehow seems to have gotten his own show because of how idiotic he is.” Zed rolled his eyes.

“So you’re the polar opposite of Homestar Runner.” Daniel said.

“In most cases, yes. I will concede, however, that I DO like to have a nice, cold glass of melonade every once in a while.” Zed admitted.

“I know a few guys back where I come from that you’d get along just fine with, Zed.” Robyn sighed.

“Sorry, but I don’t think Zed has any intent on working for Carmen Sandiego.” Daniel smirked.

“Will you stop that?!”

“I just have this really weird way of making friends out here, and the ones I make are weird in itself.” Daniel rubbed his head. “I mean, out of everyone here and all the people that could have come here, I end up bonding the most with ZED and ROBYN? I really didn’t see that coming.”

(Cosmor Tribe; Day 8)

“Most of us have been searching for the idol since we started. The others may be trying to hide it, but I can tell that they’re all searching for it.” Tongoro folded his four arms. “While I don’t actually need it at the moment, it’s something I would prefer to have with me for reassurance.”

Tongoro brushed a bush aside with two hands and used the other two to sift through the roots. “Hmm…Not here. It has to be here somewhere…” He muttered.

Tongoro paused and glanced upwards at the trees. “Maybe there’s an idol in the trees.” He mused. “I don’t think there’s ever BEEN an idol in a tree…”

Danielle walked over in time to see Tongoro climbing a tree, scaling it in seconds. “What’re you doing up there, big guy?” She asked. “I don’t see any coconuts up there, darlin’.”

“Doesn’t hurt to check, human girl.” Tongoro grunted, shoving branches aside as he scanned the tree for the idol.

“We’re good for food though.” Danielle replied. “Heck, I’ve caught a lot of stuff for us already.”

“Girl, I respect the fact that you’re able to catch fish.” Tongoro noted. “However, I also know that we cannot survive on it alone.”

“Suit yourself, darlin’.” Danielle shrugged with a giggle. “Hope you don’t mind me watching.”

“I didn’t want to tell her that I was looking for the idol.” Tongoro explained. “She’s on the other alliance and I can tell she’s loyal to that military man. The last thing I want is getting everyone on the other alliance searching the same way as me if there IS an idol up a tree.”

“I have a confession to make: I’m not planning on telling anyone that I found the idol, darlin’. Not even my own alliance. For now, anyway.” Danielle explained. “I don’t wanna attract unwanted attention, and if my alliance found out I had an idol, it may end up making me a target…”

“Guys! We’ve got treemail!” Honey announced as she walked into camp.

“So what is it we’re doing?” Qing Long asked.

“Looks like a trivia challenge.” Honey explained. “Hmm…I wonder on what.”

“Chances are it’s probably on Survivor.” Manitoba rolled his eyes. “Early trivia challenges tend to be about that.”

Honey grinned. “If it is, then it should be no problem for me.” She said.

“I really hope it’s a Survivor-based trivia challenge. Being a fan of Survivor, I feel I could do really well and help us win again.” Honey smirked. “I mean, sure, there are a few people here I wouldn’t mind voting out, but I’d prefer to avoid Tribal Council for as long as possible.”

“Trivia challenge. Ugh. If it IS based on Survivor, I won’t be of any help at all. I’ve heard a few episodes, sure, but I obviously don’t know any of the details.” Qing Long folded her arms. “I guess it’s a good thing I can sit out, but I really want to prove my worth to my team…”

(Pansay Tribe; Day 8)

“Felipe’s got everyone in his alliance searching for the idol, now.” Sparky moaned. “Everywhere I try to look for that stinking thing, there’s a member of the Mob looking as well!”

“Indeed. It’s hard trying to scout out the idol with a member of that alliance constantly breathing down our necks.” Zed nodded.

“The way things seem to be going, Felipe’s got Syndrelle searching the trees, Phil searching the water, and the rest of camp is split between him and Jerry.” Sparky said. “That covers every inch of our camp and they always seem to get in the way of the rest of us trying to find the idol!”

“So what do we do? We’re not going to find the idol if they’re all looking for it as well.” Sparky shook her head.

“Perhaps not, but we might be able to throw them off for a short while.” Zed explained, appearing to be in thought.

“Care to tell me what you’re thinking?”

“No. Not yet.” Zed said as he turned around and strolled away. “But if go through with it, I’ll give you the details.”

“I would…Rather not involve anyone that I don’t completely trust in my strategies, and right now the only one I trust is Daniel.” Zed explained. “If I tell Sparky my plan and she ends up joining the other alliance, I know for certain that it won’t work.”

“Looks like treemail’s arrived.” Felipe announced, walking into camp.

“So what’s the challenge, Felipe?” Jerry asked.

“It’s wondering how our trivia is.” Felipe read. “Hmm…Trivia in what?”

“Does it really matter? We still need to win.” Daniel lifted an eyebrow.

“We’d BETTER win. We’re far behind as it is.” Felipe said.

“Don’t remind us. We’re all aware of it.”

“Trivia’s never really been my strong point, so they’re going to pretty much have to write me off. I can’t think of any topic I’d do well in.” Jerry sighed. “But I think we can still pull it off. The others are pretty smart, after all.”

(Immunity Challenge)

The Cosmor Tribe stood on their mat in a clearing, waiting for the challenge to begin. The Pansay mat was again empty.

“Before we start, let’s bring out the Pansay Tribe.” SSBFreak said as the mentioned tribe walked into view. It didn’t take long for the others to see who was missing. “Violet was voted out at the last Tribal Council.”

“I suppose we should have seen that coming, oui?” Louise asked aloud as the Pansay Tribe stepped onto their mat.

“Welcome to your next Immunity Challenge, everyone. Here, we will be testing your knowledge on this series’ source material: Survivor.” SSBFreak explained, showing the contestants two stands with lights and buzzers nearby. “You will be set against each other one on one, and I will ask a question pertaining to Survivor. If you think you know the answer, buzz in and say it. Get it right and you’ll win a point for your team, but if you get it wrong you’ll give your opponents a point. The first team to five points will win Immunity while the losers will be voting someone off tonight.” The host glanced at the leading tribe. “Cosmor, you are now two people up. Which of you will be sitting this one out?”

“I will.” Qing Long sighed.

“As will I.” Tongoro added.

“Okay. With that, we will begin. Let’s just pair you all up…”

(Later…)

The first two up were Jerry and Danielle. The two were set up at their stations and ready to buzz in.

“Okay. For Immunity, here’s the first question…” SSBFreak said. “In Survivor: Fiji, who was the Sole Survivor in a unanimous vote?”

Danielle was quick to buzz in. “That was Earl Cole!” She said.

“Danielle is right and Cosmor gets their first point.”

“Not like I would have known, anyway.” Jerry shrugged.

Felipe and Louise were next. The two eyed each other uneasily, but Louise flashed a smirk.

“Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “Which player, according to Jeff Probst, quit the game TWICE?”

The two buzzed in at almost the same time, but Felipe was faster. “Colton.” Felipe responded.

“That’s correct. The score is now tied at 1.”

“We’ve still got this.” Felipe smirked.

Zed was up against Gord next. Zed, per usual, was holding the buzzer with invisible hands, which still weirded Gord out.

“Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “There was a jury of seven for Pearl Islands. How were the votes divided at the finale?”

The two paused in thought before Gord buzzed in. “I’m gonna guess and say it was 4-3.” He said.

“That’s incorrect. It was 6-1 for Sandra.” SSBFreak said. “Pansay gets the point and now leads 2-1.”

“Ugh. Serves me right for trying to make the rational guess…” Gord muttered.

Next was Phil and Honey. Honey looked confident while Phil just looked blank, as per usual.

“Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “Who was the only member of Koror voted out before the merge in Palau?”

Honey quickly buzzed in, grinning. “Willard!” She announced.

“That’s correct. Cosmor ties it at 2.”

“I think I may have gotten one of the easy ones.” Honey said as she left the table.

The next two were Daniel and Kasha. Now it was Daniel who looked confident while Kasha just looked indifferent.

“Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “Who was older at the time of their win? Richard Hatch or Tina Wesson?”

Kasha quickly buzzed in. “Guessing Tina Wesson.” She said.

“Correct. Cosmor is now in the lead 3-2.”

“One in two shot and I guess right.” Kasha said. Daniel looked shocked.

The next pair was Syndrelle and Patchwork. Patchwork marveled that, in spite of him being one of his tribe’s tallest, Syndrelle still towered over him.

“Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “How many days did Ozzy spend on Redemption Island in South Pacific?”

“Wait…Ozzy?” Syndrelle asked.

Patchwork quickly buzzed in. “Only one.” He said.

“That’s correct. Patchwork increases Cosmor’s lead to 4-2.”

“I guess it was a trick question.” Syndrelle sighed.

The next two were Robyn and Manitoba. Manitoba just looked uninterested.

“Here’s where we stand. Robyn needs to get this question to keep Pansay alive, otherwise Cosmor wins Immunity. Here’s your next question…” SSBFreak said. “Which tribe in Philippines lost every one of the first four Immunity challenges before getting dissolved?”

The two appeared to be in thought before Manitoba buzzed in. “Um…Tandang?” He asked.

“No. It was Matsing.” SSBFreak said. “Robyn gets the point and Pansay stays alive 4-3.”

“I’m glad he guessed wrong. I had no idea.” Robyn muttered.

The last two were Sparky and Franz. There was an obvious height difference between the two, but neither of them paid it any mind.

“Okay. Like before, Sparky needs to get this to keep her tribe alive and move to a tiebreaker round. If Franz gets it, his team wins. Here’s your question…” SSBFreak said. “How many days, in total, did Russell Hantz last across three seasons before finally getting eliminated in Redemption Island?”

Franz silently counted days in his head, trying to add up the numbers manually. However, just before he could come up with an answer, Sparky buzzed in.

“Eighty-six?” Sparky asked.

“That is…Incorrect. Russell lasted two extra days on Redemption Island before finally biting it, bringing his total to 88.” SSBFreak said. “Franz gets the point, and that’s five! The challenge is over and Cosmor wins Immunity again!”

“Not how I would have liked to win, but I’ll take it.” Franz nodded.

(Later…)

“Congratulations on winning Immunity for the third time in a row, Cosmor Tribe, you’ll all have another few days out here.” SSBFreak said. “In addition, you can now give Immunity to one person on the losing tribe.”

Franz looked at the others. “Who do you guys think?” He asked.

“Sparky cost them the challenge.” Manitoba noted.

“Oui, but I’ve been seeing a little bit of friction between Felipe and Zed.” Louise said. “Maybe we should give it to one of them.”

“We’ll give it to Zed.” Franz announced.

“Okay. Zed will receive Individual Immunity for now and it’ll be up to him to decide if he wants to keep it.” SSBFreak said before looking at the losing tribe. “Pansay, I’ll be seeing all of you tonight for yet another Tribal Council, where once again you will be voting off someone on your tribe. You know the drill by now. You can all head back to camp.”

(Pansay Tribe)

“We lost AGAIN. That’s THREE times in a ROW we’ve lost. Believe me, no one back home is going to let me live this down.” Felipe moaned. “And the worst part is that the other tribe gave Immunity to Zed, someone who I KNOW will take advantage of the twist!”

“So what’s going to happen?” Syndrelle asked.

“What’s going to happen? Zed’s going to give Immunity to one of us.” Felipe explained. “And then he’s planning on voting out another one of us 4-3.”

“So…What do we do?”

“We’re going to have to hope we can sway Robyn or Sparky to vote with us.”

“I vote Sparky. I don’t trust Robyn to help.” Jerry held up a hand.

“At this point, I don’t care who it is.” Felipe insisted. “We just need ONE of them.”

“Am we going to do that before or after we am at Council?” Phil asked. “We no am have much time now…”

“Then we may as well use the time we have to talk, right?” Jerry asked. “I mean, isn’t it better for us to get the last idea into their heads before Zed and Daniel do?”

Felipe paused, then nodded. “Okay. Good idea. This may be our only chance to sway them.” He said.

“It am look like a close vote either way. It am just question of who am get more.” Phil noted. “I no am good at talking to others, so am need to rely on others to do it.”

“I think it’s doable. Robyn we may not trust, but at least Sparky’s more-likely to join us. Although maybe I should do the talking.” Jerry chuckled. “I may not be a thinker, but I’m definitely a talker. I may be able to sway her better than Felipe can…”

Meanwhile, Zed and Daniel were on the other side of the camp, talking about the vote.

“So who are you going to give Immunity to?” Daniel asked.

“I’m a little unsure, to be honest. We can achieve the same results no matter who I decide to give it to.” Zed explained.

“You sure? Do we have Robyn and Sparky on board?” Daniel asked.

“They were the last time I checked.”

“Because you KNOW the Mob’s going to try and get their votes.” Daniel folded his arms.

“We need to check with them about voting with us, my friend.”

“If Felipe hasn’t already done it.”

“Going into Council, I’ve had a plan. However, this plan relies solely on the four of us sticking together against Felipe’s solid alliance of four.” Zed explained. “Should Robyn or Sparky decide to jump ship and join the other side, Daniel and I would be in a dire predicament and with no way to get out of it.”

(Tribal Council)

The eight Pansay players walked into Council, carrying their torches. Finding a seat on the provided stumps, everyone sat down and waited for the council to begin.

“Welcome to Tribal Council again, Pansay Tribe. Once again, you will be voting out one of your own so that the rest of you can stay alive for another few days.” SSBFreak asked before he started asking questions. “Jerry, this is the third time in a row that you guys have been here. Why do you think that is?”

“Mostly just horrible luck. The last challenge we had was a close one, though.” Jerry replied. “We totally could have won it.”

“I blame the fact that we had Violet on our team for a week and she contributed nothing.” Daniel added.

“That may have also played a part in it.” Jerry shrugged.

“That brings up another question.” SSBFreak asked. “Robyn, would you say that you would do better without Violet around?”

“Well, we certainly couldn’t do any WORSE. Like Jerry said, we were close on that last challenge.” Robyn explained. “Unfortunately, a loss is a loss and we really need to do better at these.”

“We still losing.” Phil said. “Maybe it am no Violet fault?”

“Of course it wasn’t her fault that we LOST, because she wouldn’t DO anything.” Robyn said. “Not to mention that we were all sleeping with one eye open.”

“Me are just stating fact.”

“Phil, you seemed closest to Violet. How did the elimination feel to you?” SSBFreak said.

“Me am closer to Violet than others because me no worry about attacks.” Phil explained. “When get to know her, me am get along with her.”

“We know that, Phil. But the reason why she’d never attack you is because you aren’t technically alive in the first place.” Felipe said.

“That’s why she wouldn’t attack me, either.” Syndrelle added. “What with me not being flesh and blood.”

“Zed, since you have immunity, how do you think the vote’s going to go?” The host asked.

“Normally, I would be one to keep immunity due to the fact that Felipe seems to have it in for me.” Zed replied. “However, considering the unusual twist that this season is about, I think I may be passing it off.”

“I don’t have it in for you, Zed.” Felipe said. “I consider you a threat. There’s a BIG difference.”

“Considering you’re most-likely a mob boss, I would still think that being you having it in for me.” Zed replied casually.

“Felipe, what’s your reasoning?” SSBFreak asked.

“Zed is way too smart for this game. He’s a threat not only to me, but anyone trying to play with a lick of strategy.” Felipe explained. “It’s obvious that he’s planning to blindside me tonight, but that’s why I want to show the swing votes that he’s too much of a threat.”

“And a strong alliance of four in a tribe of eight ISN’T?” Zed challenged.

“Don’t bring my alliance into this, Zed! Whatever it is between us, KEEP it between us!”

“They’re part of your alliance and follow you loyally. I believe that’s why we call you bunch ‘The Mob’.”

“Hey. I kind of take offense to that, Zed.” Syndrelle pointed out.

“Okay. I’m just going to stop this right here before it gets too out of hand.” SSBFreak said. “Before we vote, are you going to give up Immunity, Zed?”

“Indeed. Felipe thinks I’m going to blindside him…However, I believe I’ll resort to giving him Immunity, instead.” Zed said as he passed the necklace to Felipe.

“Ugh.” Felipe groaned as he accepted the necklace.

“With that, Felipe is immune and cannot be voted out, but he isn’t allowed to vote, either. It’s now time to vote.” SSBFreak said. “Syndrelle, you’re up.”

Syndrelle stood up and walked out of the hut to go vote. The pink, slender being scribbled a name down on her ballot before putting it into the urn.

Phil scrawled his vote and showed it, revealing a Z. “Felipe am want you out, so me am vote you out.” He said simply as he put his ballot into the urn.

Daniel approached the table and wrote a name down. “Just hope that the girls come through for us or we’ll be in trouble.” He mused as he voted and walked away.

Sparky walked over to the voting table and quickly scribbled a name down. Not wanting to second-guess herself, Sparky put her ballot into the urn.

Jerry bit his lip as he wrote a name down. “I have to say that I’m actually a little worried, here.” He admitted, but showing his vote, revealing a vote for Zed.

Robyn approached the table and silently wrote a name down. Giving a smirk, Robyn put her ballot into the jar and returned to the hut.

Zed walked up to the table and scribbled a name down casually. “This should prove to be fairly interesting.” He admitted as he voted and left the table.

Once Zed had voted, SSBFreak left to fetch the urn of votes and returned with it moments later. “When I read the names, the person with the most votes will be asked to bring forward their torch and leave Tribal Council immediately.” He explained. No one made a move to play an idol, which seemed to tell some that it was still in play. “…It’s time to read the votes.”

“…First vote; Zed.” Zed looked calm.

“Zed.” Zed remained silent.

“…Phil.” Phil tilted his head in confusion.

“Phil. That’s 2-2.” “Why am vote for me?”

“Zed. He leads 3-2.” Zed took a deep breath and waited.

“…Phil. That’s 3-3.” The council was silent, knowing it had come to one vote. “Last vote and third person voted out of Survivor: Central Hub…”

“…Phil. You need to bring me your torch.” SSBFreak said.

Phil sighed and stood up. “Me am understand. Me am try hardest, but am guess hardest not enough.” He said as he approached the host.

“Phil, the tribe has spoken.” SSBFreak said as he extinguished Phil’s torch. “It’s time for you to go.”

“Me am have good time.” Phil said as he shuffled out of Tribal Council and vanished from sight.

Once Phil was gone, SSBFreak turned to the remaining Pansay players. “And so ends your third council and the first vote that didn’t end in a landslide.” He explained. “For your sake, I hope you guys pick up the pace now that you’ve gotten rid of some weak links, or else I’ll be seeing you a bunch more before we even make the merge. You can all head back to camp.”

The seven remaining Pansay players stood up, collected their torches and left Tribal Council. Felipe brought up the rear, looking mad. His alliance had been dealt its first blow, and it was much earlier than Felipe had anticipated. His goals were set at this point. If Zed didn’t have his attention before, he sure had it now…

“Me am think me know why others vote me out, because me am not as helpful as Jerry in challenges. But me am sorry me no go further. Me like time in game.” Phil lamented. “But if good thing come from this, it that me go spend more time with Violet. Me am looking forward to see her.”

Voting History:
Phil – Daniel, Robyn, Sparky and Zed
Zed – Jerry, Phil and Syndrelle
Days 7 and 8 of Survivor: Central Hub.

And Phil leaves as the first applicant to be eliminated, giving us the first taste of the season's twist. Coming into this, I knew Phil wasn't going to be a very long-term character. He was harder to write for with his limited vocabulary and it was hard to fit him into conversations with other people.

That said, I think Phil was a very interesting early boot, in that he got TWO supporting characters despite being the third person voted out. It's just that when Tina and Violet, not long-term characters themselves, were eliminated, Phil's story kinda just ended. I know a lot of people liked Phil, and I hope that you're not too upset with this...
